Serving : 2-3 Person
Ingredients :
- 1 cup Urid dal/Moong dal/Black eyed bean(chora dal)
- 3 Chopped Green Chillies
- 2 tsp Asofoetida (Hing)
- Salt to Taste
- Oil for frying
To Serve :
- 2 cups Warm Beaten Curd/yoghurt
- 2 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- Red Chilli Powder
- Roasted Cumin(Jeera) Powder
- Rock Salt (Sanchar)
- Green Chutney
- Sweet Chutney
- Chopped Coriander
Method :
Clean, wash and soak dal for 6-8 hours. Grind the dal in mixture grinder to a smooth paste. Add green chillies,salt and hing to the mixture and whisk it nicely till the mixture is light and fluffy. Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the wada (big lemon sized ball) till it turns golden brown in colour. Remove the wadas from oil and place it in cold water for 10-15 minutes. Squeze out all the water from the wadas and keep aside.
Add salt and sugar to the curd and beat it nicely. Place wadas in a bowl and add beaten curd, green chutney and sweet chutney on it. Sprinkle red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and rock salt on wadas and finally garnish it with chopped coriander and serve.
Note – Urid dal shud be white dal without chilka, Moong dal can be green or yellow i.e with or without chilka.

You can use hung curd (remove all water from dahi by hanging) and warm this hung curd in microwave in 1-2 minutes. It will be warm and can be used. Let me know if any more questions.
