Serving : 2-3 Person
Ingredients :
- 2 cups Khatta Dhokla Batter
For Filling :
- 1 cup Green Peas
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard(Rai) Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin (Jeera) Seeds
- 1 tsp Raw Fennel (Variyali) Seeds
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Salt To Taste
- 1 tsp Coriander (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Green Chilly (Finely Chopped)
Method :
For Filling : Crush green peas and green chilly in a mixer coarsely. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fennel seeds and cumin seeds. Add lemon juice, salt, sugar and mix properly. Roast the mixture for about 4-5 mins. Add coriander and let it cool down. Keep it aside.
Grease a metal thali and pour very thin layer of dhokla batter in it. Steam it in a dhokla cooker for about a minute and remove from the cooker. Place a thin layer of filling on the dhokla. Cover the filling with another layer of dhokla batter and place it in dhokla cooker. Steam for around 4-5 mins. Check if the dhokla is ready by pricking a tooth pick in the dhokla. It will come out clean if properly cooked.
Let the dhokla cool down and then cut into diamonds. You can serve this as it is with ketchup or alternatively you can roast these diamonds on a hot tawa with little oil on it. Roast till sandwich dhokla turns golden brown from both sides.
Cut into triangles and serve with ketchup or green chutney.
Good work. 🙂
